Californian photographer Carlo Cruz first picked up a camera when he was studying architecture in his homeland of the Philippines.
Wanting to provide a sense of scale into his images of architecture he started to incorporate people, falling eventually on the idea of using dancers - the shapes they created with their moves they perfectly complementing the buildings.
In 2009 he photographed the Red Bull BC1 – breakdance - championships and is passionate about dance and street culture – photographing it all over the world. He is still an active architect.
He shoots for a number of clients including Fitbit, Adidas, Nike, ESPN and Red Bull, and lives in Los Angeles.
